I hold a BSc. (4-year) in Physics, a MSc. (2-year) in Applied Physics and a MSc. (2-year) in Neuro-informatics ,all from the University of Patras in Greece.

As a part of my postgraduate diploma thesis, I performed numerical calculations using the finite difference time domain method for the study of the sensitivity of the two dimensional electromagnetic ground plane cloak in the visible spectrum, under the supervision of Professor M.M. Sigalas. From 07/2011 to 07/2012, I worked at the European Union’s Seventh Framework Programme (FP7/2007-2013) NANOGOLD and performed electromagnetic calculations, using the discrete-dipole approximation, for the optical properties of gold nanoparticles (NPs) coated with a nematic liquid crystal ,under the supervision of Professor V. Yannopapas.

In my current project at the University of Exeter, I use modelling to investigate the properties of surface acoustic wave (SAW) devices with the aim of manipulating sound in the MHz range.
