Physics and Astronomy
I am a PhD candidate at the University of Exeter's Centre for Metamaterial Research and Innovation (CMRI), working under the supervision of Dr Calum Williams as part of 'The Williams Lab'. My research focuses on developing miniaturised mid-infrared sensing technologies using photonic metamaterials, with applications in environmental monitoring.
My research interests lie in experimental physics, particularly optics, photonics, and metamaterials. I combine computational modelling with experimental techniques, including the design, simulation, fabrication, and characterisation of metamaterial structures.
Prior to starting my PhD, I graduated from the University of Exeter with a BSc in Physics, where I developed interests in optical imaging, spectroscopy, and their practical applications.
