Physics and Astronomy

I am currently undertaking a physics PhD on the topic of Spacetime Varying Metamaterials, as started in October 2023, where I have been focusing on building analytically tractable models to explore qualitatively new wave phenomena achievable through the spatio-temporal modulation of a system.

Prior to arriving at Exeter, in 2023, I graduated from an integrated masters, studying physics at the University of Cambridge; particularly focusing on analytic approaches to many-body phenomena in condensed matter.

In general, I am interested in using theoretical work to predict qualitatively new behaviour in physical systems, or in building analytic models and techniques to qualitatively explain and build intuition for new phenomena. It is this which typically motivates my collaborations, both inside and outside of Exeter. If you're another researcher, and this is of interest to you, please feel free to get in touch with the email address above.
