Joe Pitfield

I graduated from the University of Exeter in 2019 with an MPhys (Hons) in Physics, conducting reasearch into photocatalysis of water splitting using 2D materials in an attempt to tackle the energy crisis. As a postgraduate researcher within the XM2 Metamaterials CDT, I am developing structural prediction routines in an effort to discover new materials at the interfaces between atomic level structures under the supervision of Dr Steven Hepplestone and Prof Mikjail (Misha) Portnoi.
