Physics and Astronomy
In my first year as a Postgraduate within the Centre of Doctoral Training for Metamaterials (XM2) at the University of Exeter, I have been carrying out my six month project, centered around the set-up of a magneto-optical magnetometry system. Furthermore, this project will be a stepping stone for the larger project of my PhD, which is titled “Optical detection of magnetization dynamics induced by spin-orbit torques” supervised by Professor R.J. Hicken and Dr. P.S. Keatley.
Since I graduated from the Department of Physics in University of Crete, I have continued my studies in Material Science, I have been awarded a degree of a Master of Science. My research Thesis was focused on optical metasurface for optical application using a commercial simulation tool.
