I am Director of Exeter's Centre of Metamaterials Research and Innovation and the associated doctoral training centre for PhD students.

I lead the UK Metamaterials Network.

The Network received an additional £2.5M from EPSRC and is also funded by Dstl. It represents the national metamaterials academic community, with over 800 members.

I currently supervise multiple PhD projects, and manage a teram of senior postdoctoral researchers.  Much of my work is fudned by industry and government, as well as the EPSRC.  I am lead the EPSRC funded Centre-to-Centre collaboration A-Meta, and am Exeter lead of the EPSRC funded programme grant Meta-4D.
