Overview

Dr Chun-Chin Wang earned his M.S. in Physics and Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering at National Taiwan University, where he applied intravital two-photon microscopy to early skin and lung cancer diagnosis. Dr. Wang briefly conducted postdoctoral work on in vivo three-photon imaging of quantum-dot-labelled brain with Prof. Chris Xu at Cornell University before moving to his current research fellow position at University of Exeter with Prof. Julian Moger and Prof. Nick Stone.

While at Exeter, he has focused on the development of label-free microscopy such as stimulated Raman scattering (SRS) microscopy, which he has applied to in situ chemically-specific mapping of plant and animal tissues. He will continue to develop innovative optical spectroscopy and multimodal imaging techniques, and establish a new imaging facility dedicated to Raman Nanotheranostics (RaNT) programme.
